Creative Colchester

Creative Colchester is a partnership aimed at the promotion and facilitation of the cultural, creative and digital sectors in the city. Created in 2016, it aims to support the wider creative community and foster opportunities for growth within the sector through funding and other opportunities. Underpinning the initiative is a network consisting of local creative businesses, freelancers and educational institutions. I was tasked with creating a site that aimed to bring the network and growth potential together.

I designed a local social network for users to create a customisable profile with opportunities to showcase their work and skills. The site also allowed for users to post opportunities for careers, funding or volunteering, alongside events and updates.

I created a custom set of illustrations for the brand based on local landmarks, and a complementary set of icons and onboarding illos for use across the site, social media and other documentation.
