Brand Archetype Tarot

A common problem with brand workshops is aligning clients on a cohesive brand story, especially with those unfamiliar with the branding process. It can also be tricky to keep larger teams more engaged in lengthy workshop settings. I was tasked with creating a brand workshop toolkit to help convey tricky concepts in an approachable and fun way.

I created a pack of 12 tarot-style cards, each with an illustration based on one of the brand archetypes: The Innocent, Everyman, Hero, Rebel, Explorer, Creator, Ruler, Magician, Lover, Nurturer, Jester, and Sage. The reverse showed the breakdown of the persona enabling clients who were less familiar with the branding process to easily identify their own brand story. This created a solid foundation enabling us to progress smoothly through subsequent stages, circling back each time to the central archetype for brand consistency.

The cards were available in digital and print formats to satisfy both in person and online workshops.
